VANILLA CHOCOLATE MARBLE CAKE RECIPE ~ Hey there Friday Lovers, how was your week? Here’s a cheat treat for you to snack on whilst sipping your hot beverages7 this fall. So what are your plans for the weekend, apart from baking this ofcourse. So lets start our recipe.
- 250 gram all purpose flour
- 2tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp soda
- 80 gram granuled sugar
- 80 gram brown sugar
- 70 gram neutral oil
- 220ml milk of choice
- 1tbsp lemon juice
- A pinch salt
- 25 gram unsweetened cacao powder
- 5 gram instant coffee
- 3 tbsp hot water
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- Zest of half an orange/lemon
- 1.Grease a loaf pan (9″×5″size)
- 2.sift flour,baking powder,salt, baking soda in a bowl.
- 3.In another bowl whisk together cacao powder,instant coffee and hot water and stir till smooth
- 4.Mix milk,lemon juice,oil/melted butter,both the sugars and combine well and pour over the flour mixture and whisk until just combined.
- 5. Pour 1/3rd of the batter into the cacao mixture and whisk untill just combined.
- 6. Add lemon zest or orange zest into the remaing batter.
- 7. Drop 1/4cup of plain batter into your loaf tin then dollop with 2tbsp of chocolate batter,continuing layering both batter.
- 8. For marble effect take a sharp knife and run through the batterin swirling motion.
- 9. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- 10. Let cool down into the pan for 10 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely before slicing.
